On the other side of the Ashley River from downtown Charleston is an area referred to as West Ashley. Here, older traditional neighborhoods of charming brick bungalows combine with a growing number of new communities. Southward, West Ashley spills into a string of interior islands, each with its own personality and set of features.

Featured Communities:

Golf enthusiasts should look at Shadowmoss, while new home shoppers should browse Grand Oaks, Groghan's Landing, and Schievling Plantation. Price conscious house hunters could shop Village Green, Air Harbor, Citadel Woods, and Northbridge Terrace.
